Peter Lydon is a UK-based director with an incredibly diverse track record. From well-known TV shows like Showtime’s "Secret Diary of a Call Girl," Channel 4’s "Shameless," ITV's "Poirot" and the BBC's "Mistresses," to high profile commercials work with brands like Ikea, Carlsberg and Samsung. Peter’s hugely successful “Fairytale” campaign for Sky Broadband, which reimagined the likes of "The Princess and the Pea," "The Emperor’s New Clothes," and "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" is a wonder to behold! His recent commercial work with big names like Al Pacino, Benedict Cumberbatch, Joanna Lumley and Scarlet Johansson has given him a new string to his bow.
Peter cut his directing teeth as a documentary maker with award winning films for BBC Arena and The South Bank Show. His BAFTA nominated biography of Peter Sellers won three major awards in the US.
He also manages to squeeze in the odd award winning short film. His newest, Dating Eliza, which he wrote and directed, is a hit on the festival circuit, winning Best Short, Best Ensemble, and Audience Award at the LA Comedy Fest, the Best Comedy Short at Fastnet Corona Festival, and Best Short and Best Writer at the Kinsale Sharks.
